Today Cymru Taith tour ended and the riders already miss it, especially Élvio Aguiar. Aguiar had a rough start in Cymru Taith getting injured just a few hours after the sign in. Everyone on the team thought that it was over even before beginning. Everyone except Aguiar.
Aguiar trained as hell to get better from his injury and to improve his form after the final push made to get to the tour. On the day of the first stage he was fit for racing and in better form than anyone expected. After all that dedication from him there was only one thing his team mates could do. Show the same dedication helping him achieve high places.
The team got better places than last season in every stage even with the riders in bad shape. Improved the very good fifth place on stage one with a fourth place by Aguiar. Aguiar thanked his team mates work on the first stage getting to the 19th place in the hard ITT of second stage, achieving the sixth place of the GC. In the final sprinting stage, Aguiar showed that he can also sprint getting a ninth place.
Abraham Cojuango of team tundra got the GC in the last stage, getting in front of Marinus van Someren from team NECFTW by only 7 seconds. Elton Lonergan from johny2 got the third place and Jordy Wekenburg from Connaught won the YC.
